glider before/after

a friend asked me to help her find a porch glider...lo and behold this is what i found her on craiglist (love craigslist!) for 20 bones!! she got a sandblast treatment and powdercoating (~$200) from these folks. it actually ended up being a vintage JR Bunting; worth ~$700-800; the company closed in the 1940's.

saturday drive [card catalog]

we took a saturday drive -found some really cool places...mom and i found some great furniture for our next round of refinishing and i finally got a card catalog talked them down from $38 to $28! still looking for a big one though...i don't really understand my obsession with card catalogs it must have developed while looking at these on flickr:




our last stop was at this kitchen supply store a little place right outside erie; new and vintage things.
